It’s incredibly simple! Just register an account on our website. After registration, your first 3 projects are completely free, so you can try the full floor plan editor, automated measurement calculations, view the PDF document, and export your floor plans with no strings attached.

Planmetrio uses a flexible, pay-as-you-go credit system with no mandatory monthly subscriptions. Every time you save a completely new floor plan project, 1 credit is deducted from your balance. Once saved, you can edit, export, and generate PDF documents of that specific project infinitely in the future – without any additional cost. We deduct 1 credit for every new floor plan. Obviously, if you modify a completed floor plan to such an extent that it assumes the creation of a new / different floor plan, it will also result in a credit deduction. The same applies if you give your floor plan a different identifier – we interpret it as a new floor plan. You will naturally receive an invoice for credit purchases, which you can only buy online via credit card. After the purchase, the credits are instantly credited to your account.

If you need credits, you can easily top up your balance by opening the “Buy Credits” page. We have developed various affordable credit packages that you can purchase securely via the Stripe payment system. Your purchased credits never expire!

No! Planmetrio is a 100% cloud-based web application (SaaS). It runs perfectly and lightning-fast on desktops and laptops in modern browsers, and we have fully optimized it for tablets as well for convenient on-site surveys.

Of course! Once you save a project, you can generate a professional, multi-page PDF measurement report that includes precise room drawings, breakdown of wall and surface dimensions, estimated heat demand, and perimeter data. The system sends the finished PDF document directly to your email address.

Yes! In the “My Account” dashboard, you can upload the logo of your business or real estate agency. Once uploaded, the logo automatically appears as a watermark on all exported PNG images, and as a header label in the official PDF measurement documentation.

You will find a built-in user guide within the app. Selection: Left-click on a room or element (marker, pillar). On touch screens, tap on the element. Movement: Hold down the left mouse button (or drag your finger on a touch screen) to move the selected element. Editor panel: Right-click on a selected element (or long-press on a touch screen) to open the floating Editor Panel. Rotation: Use the rotation button (↔️ icon) on the Editor Panel to swap the length and width of the selected element. Deletion: Use the delete button (🗑️ icon) on the Editor Panel to remove the selected element.

Rooms and pillars automatically snap to each other magnetically when you pull them close. They align along edges, corners, or centrally. The editor also takes your specified wall thickness setting into account, making it easy to create shared walls without overlapping elements. The system detects the thickness of shared walls up to 2x the base wall thickness.

Our intelligent app automatically detects the shared walls of adjacent rooms. Doors and windows (doors, custom wall openings) placed on shared walls are accurately deducted from the net wall surface of both affected rooms, ensuring engineering-grade data for your quotes. To create shared walls, move the rooms close to each other, or you can use a pillar / wall infill element: create a wall infill element (pillar) corresponding to the given side of the room, drag it to one room, then drag the other room to it. In this case, the system intelligently recognizes the thickness of the shared wall (room 1 wall thickness + infill wall (pillar) thickness + room 2 wall thickness). You can see the thickness of a shared wall on the drawing based on the guidelines (dimensions); as long as the system detects the shared wall, the guidelines mark it (you see its dimension as a whole).

You can enter any custom width and height in the input fields before clicking the ‘+’ button to add the door or window. For windows, you can specify the parapet height (the distance from the floor to the bottom of the window), which is crucial, for example, for calculating the ratio of painted to tiled wall surfaces, or for perimeter calculations.

If you pull 2 rooms together, the magnetic snapping sets the shared wall thickness to the base wall thickness by default. If you move the rooms closer together, in that case, upon touching the base lines, the rooms will automatically merge into an open space. (Base line: the inner edge of the wall). You can drag the rooms not only up to this point but also overlap them; as soon as the base lines touch or overlap occurs, the combined room is automatically created. When creating a complex room, we recommend that you first assemble the rooms, and only place wall openings and doors/windows on the masonry afterwards.

Within the design interface, you can choose between the Metric (cm/m) and Imperial (in/ft) measurement systems with a single click. All calculations, dimensions, and exported documents immediately adapt to the selected unit of measurement.

Yes! If you run a real estate agency or construction company with multiple employees, we can set up a unified “Company Account” for you. This allows the whole team to use a shared credit pool, while account administrators can overview all floor plans created by the employees. Please contact our customer support for setup.

Yes, in addition to PNG and PDF formats, you can download the dataset of every project as a CSV or TXT file. This structured database can easily be imported into Excel, CRM, or ERP quoting systems, radically speeding up your pricing workflow.

Since Planmetrio is a modern web application, please ensure you are using an updated browser (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge). If you experience issues, try clearing your browser’s cache or disabling your ad blocker on our website.

Check the entered Ceiling Height and the specified dimensions (rooms, openings, etc.). Ensure that the rooms do not overlap visually on the drawing board, they connect properly, and for maximum accuracy, make sure the shared walls snap magnetically (the distance does not exceed twice the specified wall thickness). Calculations are based on internal room dimensions.

Generating the PDF can take a few seconds. If you don’t see the message in your inbox within a minute, please check your Spam or Junk folder as well. Make sure the email address provided for your Planmetrio account is correct.
